Prof (Dr.) Amit Parikh is received his M.Sc. and M.Phil degree in Mathematics from Gujarat University, Ahmedabad in 1994 and 1998 respectively. He received Ph.D degree in Mathematics from SVNIT, Surat in 2014. He is working as Principal & Professor at Mehsana Urban Institute of Sciences, Ganpat University, Kherva. His area of interest is Applied Mathematics, Numerical Analysis, Fluid dynamics in porous media and Mathematical modelling. He is a life member of ISTE, ISTAM, GAMS, FATER and GGM. He is Executive Committee member of Gujarat Ganit Mandal. He has published 40 research papers in National and International journals. He has presented 13 research papers and delivered more than 15 expert talks at National and International level. He has authored two books titled ‘Introduction to Fluid flow through Porous media’ and ‘Solution of one dimensional Groundwater flow problems’ published in Lambert Publishing House. He is having more than 22 years of teaching experience at UG and PG level at C.U.Shah University- Wadhwan, Nirma University - Ahmedabad and Ganpat UniversityKherva. He has guided 5 Ph.D students and 6 students are pursuing Ph.D under him. Prof. Parikh received awards at state and national level in Srinivasa Ramanujan Mathematics Competition for Engineering college teachers in the year 2012 and 2013. He received certificates of appreciation from “International Forum for Excellence in Higher Education” for successfully conducting “National Creativity Aptitude Test” consecutively for three years 2015, 2016 & 2017. Dr.Parikh has worked as an editor for Souvenir of 53rd Gujarat Ganit Mandal Adhivation “Smarnika” organised by Mehsana Urban Institute of Sciences during 23-25 December 2016. He received national level award for ‘Excellence in Education’ from Confederation of Education Excellence (CEE), New Delhi on 22nd April 2017 as well as “Education Leadership Award” from 25th Business School Affairs & Dewang Mehta national education awards (Regional round) as a celebration of 25th Silver Jubilee year in October 2017. Dr.Parikh Received Best Paper Award for research paper titled “Mathematical modeling of physical phenomena arising during oil recovery process”, at 68th International Conference on New Trends in Engineering, Science and Management during 20-21 July 2018, organized by IOSRD at Visakhapatnam. The Executive council of Gwalior Academy of Mathematical Sciences nominated him as Vice President of GAMS for three years with effect from 1st April 2018. Dr.Parikh Elected as an Associate Fellow by “Gujarat Science Academy (GSA)” w.e.f January 2018. Dr.Amit received Ganpat University President Award for Manager of the Year for the year 2019 with cash prize of INR 2,00,000/-. He also received I2OR National Eminent Researcher Award 2020 from International Institute of Organized Research in November 2020. Dr. Parikh Received Outstanding Scientist Award at International Scientist Awards on Engineering, Science and Medicine during 06-07 March 2021, Goa, India organised by VDGOOD Professional Association. He also received Research Excellence Award 2021 from InSc (Institute of Scholars) in April 2021
